This saree blends Assam’s golden Muga silk with the textured richness of Tussar, enhanced by delicate embroidery. Lightweight yet opulent, it is ideal for festive occasions, receptions, and cultural gatherings.
Muga silk is a rare, golden‑hued wild silk from Assam, India, celebrated for its natural golden sheen, durability, and exclusivity. Traditionally reserved for royalty, it is now a prized textile for sarees and ceremonial wear.
Muga silk is extremely strong; its lustre actually increases after every wash unlike most silks. It has a naturally yellowish‑golden tint with a glossy, shimmering finish.
Tussar silk, often called “wild silk”, is prized for its natural golden sheen, rustic texture, and cultural heritage. Unlike the glossy smoothness of mulberry silk, Tussar has a warm, earthy charm that makes it both luxurious and approachable.
Tussar is stronger and less delicate than mulberry silk, making it versatile for sarees, dupattas, and kurtas. Their distinctive honey‑gold tone, slightly coarse texture, and a subtle sheen, perfect for festive yet understated elegance.
